Stop the War Aletrnative Conference
10.30 am - 6.00 pm Roscoe Building, University of Manchester, Brunswick Street, Manchester M13 9PL

Labour Party conferences under the Blair regime are rigidly ciontrolled and stage-managed. When 80 year old Walter Wolfgang heckled then foreign secretary Jack Straw last year with the single word "Nonsense", he was manhandled out of the conference hall by security guards.

This year, Stop the War has organised an alternative conference, the day after the TIME TO GO demonstration at which there will be genuine discussion and debate.

Speakers include:
•Tariq Ali, •Dr Richard Horton (Editor, The Lancet), •John Rees (Respect Coalition), •Azzam Tamimi, (Institute of Islamic Political Thought), •Jeremy Corbyn MP, •Craig Murray (Ex-UK Ambassador, Uzbekistan), •Yvonne Ridley (Islam Channel), •Dave Crouch (Media Workers Against the War), •Lindsey German (Convenor, Stop the War Coalition)
